Management Accountant

About the role

Here at Asolvi we are looking for a Management Accountant to join our growing Finance department. Reporting into the Finance Manager, your role will be responsible for producing financial and management reports and information, communicating, supporting and build relationships across the business.

With the rapid expansion of Asolvi in the UK; part of the role is also supporting changes and development within the Finance team - financial policies and systems to improve future reporting/detailed commentaries, ensuring a well-functioning and productive Finance department in the future. 

 What you will be doing

  • Month end reporting to Shareholders for UK division (preparing departmental financial statements along with commentaries)
  • Day to day management of processes affecting month end report
  • Financial administration tasks and internal audits
  • Liaising with Directors and colleagues
  • Developing with the Finance team financial policies and systems to improve future reporting/detailed commentaries
  • Support to Tax Advisors in the preparation of R&D tax refund
  • Legislative and Statutory filings (VAT, p11D’s, PSA, Annual year-end Statutory accounts and Company Tax Returns)
  • Supporting outside auditor through pack preparations and query clarification throughout Financial Year End Audit
  • Advice and professional input through acquisitions/mergers if applicable
  • Mitigating risk management
  • Provision of information for Group budget forecasts for the UK
  • Reviewing and authorising outgoing payments, including payroll

  • Strong understanding of revenue deferment and cost allocations for detailed departmental reporting

What we think you will need

  • You will be qualified / part qualified ACCA/ CIMA or equivalent
  • Previous experience with Xero Cloud Accounting software package necessary
  • Ideally industry experience  
  • Strong analytical and costing skills is essential
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Up to date with legislative changes / impacts
  • Be self-motivated and solutions driven
