We need more developers with a passion for functional programming!

Do you love functional programming? Do you want to be part of a high-performing, collaborative team? Then you might be what we are looking for!

Our team of Elixir Developers in Stockholm are looking for new colleagues.  Our team members have a passion for functional programming and value highly collaborative team work. In order for you to thrive in this team we think it is important that you share this passion and value.

We are primarily looking for someone who would work alongside the team in our office in Stockholm, but we are also open for remote workers - with the condition that you are able to follow the Swedish work pattern of a 8-9am start and 5-6pm finish (Central European Time). You would also be required to travel to the office on a monthly basis for team meetings. We follow the LeSS framework, with some adjustments to the process (https://less.works/

We value your knowledge of system-design and programming rather than your skill in any named language. We expect you are able to adopt new skill as it is required and we allocate time as it is needed to do so.

If you are interested in hearing the teams' experience with Elixir you can join us at this meetup on the 3rd September: http://meetu.ps/e/GX3TM/qmrWY/d

What else? Asolvi nurtures a culture of autonomy, self-managed teams and continuous improvement. This means that you have the same responsibility as everybody else when it comes to developing our product and organisation. We don't have managers, as we believe that smart people can manage themselves. But we have service team members who support you in your personal development and growth as a team.

Do you want to be part of our team, please submit your application today!

At Asolvi, we embrace diversity to the benefit of all. We actively encourage applications from any background.

What we believe in

We succeed as a team and we fail as a team

Are you willing to work with others with an open mind to new ideas or approaches? Do you know and trust the members of your team? Are you aware of each team member’s role and the benefit they bring? Are you willing to help a struggling team member for the success of the team? If you answer yes to these questions then you have understood what teamship and collaboration is.

We want psychological safety in our teams, which means that every team member should feel accepted and respected and safe to share their ideas without fearing judgement. This leads to more innovation, experimenting, learning and engagement. We work on creating psychological safety through coaching and group dynamics training.

Just Talk

We believe in Just Talking. Do you have a question? Do you have some assumptions? Do you wonder what is expected of you? Do you wonder if you are providing value to the team? Just Talk! Ask questions, do not act on assumptions. Ask for feedback, don’t just assume you are providing value. Ask what is expected of you and let your colleagues know what you expect of them. We believe this culture will create a thriving environment where everyone is challenged to perform at their best, every day.
