About the Role: 

As our experienced IT Operations Engineer, you will be working within the internal operations department based in High Wycombe, with initially one other engineer. Your responsibilities as an IT Operations Engineer will include on-boarding new customers, ensuring the maintenance and development of the Asolvi hardware and software. You will be responsible for the development and configuration of the Asolvi DevOps environment and cloud solutions for our customers.   

As our IT Operations Engineer, you possess excellent IT engineering skills, preferably with DevOps experience, and you will be able to develop and manage our internal Asolvi IT system. You will be resourceful and self-sufficient and tailor software and hardware needs to existing and new customers. You will be reporting to COO Odd Martin Solem. 

As an IT Operations Engineer, you will: 

  • Assist Asolvi’s internal users on the IT systems and with troubleshooting 
  • Deploy, build and develop DevOps 
  • Be involved in the production, configuration and development of the cloud environment 
  • Provide customers with cloud solutions to suit their requirements 

What we think you will need: 

  • To be successful as an IT Operations Engineer, you must: 
  • Have some experience, particularly with DevOps or a willingness to learn 
  • Have a working knowledge of Agile and configuration in a production and cloud environment 
  • Have an aptitude to continually learn and adapt  
  • Possess natural ability to innovate and problem solve  
  • Be able to work self-sufficiently but also as a team player 


 

And if you bring any of these skills/experience you will be our star 

  • At least two years’ experience of DevOps or a willingness to learn 
  • Possess a relevant hardware and software Engineering qualification 

 Salary and Benefits: 

£35,000-£62,000 (depending on skills and experience) per annum, 24 days holiday plus bank holidays
